To meet the need for well-educated citizens now and in the future. The
Scholarship Foundation of St. Joseph County must increase individual
scholarship amounts and provide support to a greater number of deserving
applicants. You can help.
Our scholarship program depends on two funding sources supported by gifts
from individuals and corporations: the annual gift fund and the endowment
interest income fund. We also offer a deferred gift option.
Annual Gifts
An annual gift is tax deductible and can be designated as a memorial gift or
in recognition of an individual.
Endowment Interest Income
You can direct your annual gift be placed in the Endowment Fund, the principal
of which is invested, with the interest income allotted to annual scholarships.
Deferred Gifts
You may wish to consider a deferred gift to the Endowment Fund. A charitable
bequest through your will is a deferred gift. Deferred gifts also include
charitable annuities and trusts, which provide income to the donor during the
owner's lifetime, and life insurance arrangements. Deferred gifts can provide
tax savings to the donor.
Named Gifts
Create a permament legacy with a named scholarship. This program is available
for significant gifts to recognize an individual, family or institution.
Your tax-deductible gift may be sent to:
